The developer of RegCleaner, jv16 PowerTools, Uninstalr, WinFindr, Startup Timer, ScreenshotX, System Examiner and Windows Update Fixer.
An updated version of jv16 PowerTools 2005 released, it contains the following improvements.
- Fixed a bug that caused the product to crash when updating its file cache. The bug only affects certain system configurations, particularly systems with more than 10 hard drives or partitions.
- Fixed a bug causing the product to hang when starting the registry scan. Also this problem only affected certain system configurations.
- Added support for window resizing to the following tools: History/MRU Cleaner, Cookie manager and History manager. Other windows are updated to support resizing in the future.
- Added the following translations: Galician, Hebrew, Korean, Norwegian, Spanish and Ukrainian. The complete list of supported languages can be found from here.
- Improved the product’s handling of registry dates. The jv16 PowerTools has always shown the date from the registry the way it is stored in there. However, the date is in fact in GMT+0 format and thus if you live in other time zone the product has always shown the registry dates a bit wrong.
- Fixed a bug in the Registry Find and Replace tool that prevented it from modifying REG_MULTI_SZ type of registry data.
- Fixed a bug that sometimes caused the Custom Restore feature not to work properly.
- Fixed a minor interface bug that caused removed items not to be removed from the list of the Duplicate Finder. The bug only affected the user interface, the removal of the selected files worked as expected
- Fixed a minor bug that caused the Registry Cleaner’s Fixing feature sometime to leave the very last of the selected items untouched.
The updated version can be installed over any previous versions of jv16 PowerTools 2005.
