On the abbreviation settings tab, add an option to call an abbreviation definition and selection tool.
Tool features might include:
1. a set of selectable default abbreviations
2. ability for users to define their own selectable choices for abbreviations
3. user selectable choice for recognizing abbreviations on screen and print -- (e.g., color, bold, italics, underline, none, or whatever)
4. ability for users to specify which tools should use the abreviations
