I just downloaded unistalr. There doesn't appear to be any option to record an installation, like in some other installers, like for example, Total Unistall.

When you compare leftovers between uninstalr and Total Unistall, did you use the recording feature with Total Unistall when installing the program? Maybe there would be much fewer leftovers when using this option in software that supports it?

p.s. How do I edit the Title..?

The installation monitor feature was not used, because very few people use that in real life.

That is the only mode that I have used with Total Unistall.
I wonder how recording with Total Unistall would compare to uninstalr?

Any inclination to add a recording mode to uninstalr??

Not really, because it would be a lot of work for a feature that almost no one would use.

I just realized that there is a "Monitor" function in v2.6. Is that feature not working? It appears that it should record new data added to the computer when it is running..?

I'm afraid I don't quite understand the question. Is it not working? What software installation are you trying to monitor with it?

I understood from the previous response that uninstalr didn't have a recording mode. However, isn't that exactly what "Monitor" does? It records the installation, correct?

It doesn't record an installation, but it monitors for installations. It's not exactly the same thing.

Could you please explain what the monitoring does (and how it differs from recording)?
(Maybe there is a help file somewhere that explains it?)

Recording would record every change that happens during installation and possibly save those changes to a file, monitoring only monitors some parts of the system and lists any changes in the UI.
