Hello Jouni and everyone that's here,
As someone who is visually impaired and relies on a screen reader (specifically NVDA), I was excited to try out Uninstalr. As I navigated through interface, I find that some parts of the interface are accessible — such as context menus and buttons like Uninstall, Show Data, and Settings — I’ve encountered a few significant accessibility barriers:
•
The list of installed applications is not accessible to NVDA, making it difficult or impossible to interact with the core functionality.
•
The textboxes in the application are unlabeled, which means NVDA cannot read them properly or convey their purpose.
I kindly ask that accessibility support be improved in future versions of Uninstalr, particularly with proper labeling of elements and improved screen reader navigation.
Must to consider is that the screen reader users, use keyboard on 99% of the time and emulated mouse movings and clicks.
If is possible, we can collaborate to make it accessible and screen reader friendly. I can test versions and write feedback or to connect with blind developers that can offer a more large background on technical skill. As I am also a DevOps Engineer, didn't have so much experience with coding apps or support people on make their software accessible in terms to contribute at code base.
I’d appreciate it if you could let me know whether accessibility improvements are something you’d consider.
Thank you very much for your work and for considering this request.
Best regards,
Surneptune
