I'm trialing RegSupreme Pro 1.2 on Windows XP Pro w/SP2.

So far I have two questions:

1. I just ran RegSupreme Pro registry cleaner, and it found and fixed or deleted 1126 or was it 999 or was it 1222 bad registry entries. Is there a log file somewhere that retains this information?

2. If I accidentally let RegSupreme Pro "fix" a "bad" registry entry that was not really bad, how can I restore just that entry and not every other entry that RegSupreme Pro "fixed?"

The answers to your questions are:

1) I'm afraid there is no log for any old actions.

2) The RegSupreme products are created to be as lightweight as possible, therefore they contain only the most vital features. Custom Restore feature which allows you to restore only parts of backups (and also modify the backup files) is present only in jv16 PowerTools, not in the RegSupremes.

My understanding of Registry Cleaner tools is that a user of such a tool may not safely follow all that tool's suggestions for fixing or deleting Windows XP registry entry errors. That being said, how can I safely implement the RegSupreme Pro or jv16 PowerTools suggested registry error fixes, especially when such a tool's "first" scan comes back with so very many "errors" (GT 1000), and I am unable to back out individual "fixes." For example, after running RegSupreme Pro, 1000 registry errors are detected, what then? Do I allow RegSupreme Pro to "fix" all the detected errors? If the answer is "yes", then what do I do if my PC now runs much faster, but when I attempt to display help for Microsoft Word, help for Adobe Acrobat is displayed instead? Please understand that I am asking for guidance of the process of using either of your tools to find and repair registry entries, I am not complaining about a perceived short coming in either of these two applications.

BTW, I am perfectly happy to upgrade my trial from RegSupreme Pro to jv16 PowerTools if this bundled product has better tools for safely finding and fixing registry errors.
