Hi,

I am a VIP member and just downloaded the 2017 version and have a few problems.

During installation the software would not accept my name and e-mail address, so I basically bypassed the problem by not entering the information.

The rest of the installation went OK but the program remains stuck during the initial configuration of the software stays stuck at about 80 %.

Looking at Task Manager the software is taking about 17% of the processor resources and about 260 Mb of memory.

Anybody else has this issue?

And is there a workaround?

Thanks,

Biotech

Yes, I had the same problem. Open your browser and go to the website, enter your email address on the "download" page and install the program. There is something wrong with that name/email verification site. In other words, the update method, from the JV16X, doesn't work for some systems.

This does not work at all for me.

It may be the case that Verifigator, the e-mail validation technology that we use, does not recognize either your full name or e-mail address as valid data. Rest assured that the Full Name / E-mail fields during product installation at only for newsletter subscription and this technology only helps us to filter out potentially unwanted data. As any technology, this needs to be perfected and we are working with the core team at Verifigator to address these issues.

If this happens, please stop the Initial Setup process, reboot your computer and start jv16 PowerTools 2017 (it should be already installed anyway as the Initial Setup actually happens after the product is already setup on disk, caching your local data for faster later processing).

Once jv16 PowerTools 2017 is open, go to Configuration - Maintenance - Flush Cache. Close and reopen jv16 PowerTools 2017. This will help the product to recreate the Initial Setup cache forcefully on the next product start.

Most likely the product has crashed during Initial Setup, for one reason or the other. After following my above indications, if the problem persists or if you notice any similar high resource usage counts then please open a new support ticket with us here https://macecraft.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/requests/newhttps://macecraft.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/requests/new and our team will make sure to address your report as soon as possible.
