Software Uninstall Hangs and then fails

I just updated. Now it hangs while attempting Software Uninstall. It eventually stops and gives and error message after about 1/2 hour. History remover seemed really slow too - but seemed to work - but again after 1/2 hour or more. Actions never seemed to be so slow before.

To what version of the software are you referring to? I mean the exact version number, you can see it from the Help > About.

Does the Software Uninstaller hang while generating the list of installed software, or while uninstalling a software? If uninstalling a software, which one?

Also, what version of Windows are you using?

It's the latest version updatable anyway (not beta) - JV16 X 4.0.9.1514

I have Windows XP, with the last updates Windows XP Service Pack 3 build 2600

It hangs - or just keeps going when you start the Uninstaller. If you don't wait when starting the program for about a minute or so the screen doesn't even show the window. If you wait, then the window comes up, the progress bar moves but hangs (or goes extremely slowly) about 1/4 of the way. Then in about 20 minute I get an error. I sent the bug report. I attached it here too (had to zip it as it wouldn't accept a txt file).

I never noticed this before with the last version (I'm not sure which, but I updated July 20, 2015. I did a registry clean, and that went fine. A speedup startup and that also went fine. Although the sort of sluggishness when starting the program is still there.

Please try to download and install the latest version, which can be downloaded at https://www.macecraft.com/download/. The latest version is 4.0.0.1517.

Does the described problem persist in this version or is the Software Uninstaller tool now accessible on your machine?

I have a similar issue with verson 4.0.0.1517 on Windows 7.

Software Uninstaller always opens with a blank window and "(Not Responding)" in the window name bar. After a while the Windows busy icon appears and then about 10 minutes later the window populates with the list of installed software.

This is just one of the issues I have with JVT Power Tools. I always find it incredibly slow to complete a task.

If you are running a live protection antivirus product, please make sure that you add the folder path where jv16 PowerTools X is installed to the ignore list of your security solution. In some cases, live protection mechanisms such as antivirus heuristics may heavily slow down third party products such as ours.
