Today I downloaded beta 4 and Registry information function keeps working with 8 threads. The abort function works.

I checked two times with same result.

Now it is 10 minutes that the icon spins and the green bar is at same point.

After some further test, I was able to end this Registry Information after 2 hours

Hello,

I downloaded and installed latest JV16 PowerTools 2016 Beta 4. After rebooting, and trying to use your program, I noticed a warning about BitDefender Free AntiVirus asking to put files on its whitelist. However, BitDefender Free doesn't have a whitelist, so I disabled its realtime protections and exited it.

Next, I tried to use 'Clean and SpeedUp My Computer' tool. However, the scan doesn't finish. It keeps going for hours, even after all green checkmarks are completed. I attached a screenshot showing the dialog that never ends.

Next, I tried the 'AntiSpy'. I don't know if it worked, but it asked for a reboot and I rebooted.

Next, I tried the 'Registry Compactor' tool. I don't know if it finished its job, but it asked for a reboot and delayed the boot a bit after I rebooted.

Next, I tried the 'Registry Cleaner' tool. Got the same problem that happened with 'Clean and SpeedUp My Computer' tool.

Next, I tried 'Clean and SpeedUp My Computer' tool a bit more times. And it now worked, but the registry was apparently clean, only tmp files appeared to clean. This made me suspicious.

I'll send a private message with the zipped 'Backups' download link. Thanks!

I have used b4 registry cleaner in agressive mode and it does find just two items. using the latest ccleaner it finds quite a few - as shown in the attached registry.txt inside the .ZIP. Please advise.

I'm sorry but I don't understand. In the other thread you reported that jv16 PowerTools 2016 Beta4 found many errors and uploaded a list of those errors, but here you are reporting that it only finds two errors?

Please use BitDefender's Support site to find out how to whitelist jv16 PowerTools, for example, this seems relevant: http://www.bitdefender.com/support/how-to-add-exclusions-(exceptions)-in-bitdefender-2015-1307.html

After doing so, please try the Clean And SpeedUp My Computer again. Sounds like BitDefender is blocking jv16 PowerTools access to the system.

I guess I had fixed the errors from the CSV file but the 2 I later reported keep showing up - even after a reboot and flushing the cache..
