Good day devs and testers,

I've been having some fun trying all the functions out in JV16 2016 beta 4 and so far everything seems to work as-expected on my machine. It seems all I'm good for finding are grammatical or spelling errors, which others have already likely spotted and reported as well.

There is a spelling bug in the information dialogue that pops up the first time when clicking the Pictures AntiSpy feature. The word 'advised' is misspelled as 'adviced' and this is not correct.

Also, the grammar is slightly weird in the description of the Quick Start section of Pictures Antispy. It says: "... the feature will scan your entire computer to find for picture files you can process ..." The word 'for' can be dropped there and this would be better English.

And in the description below the "Quick Start" -> "Information" heading, to say "Removing the metadata does not modify the image visually in any "ways" is also not grammatically correct; this should instead read "... visually in any way."

Lastly, in the Picture Antispy settings, under the "Information" heading, the text there is not grammatically correct. "If enabled ... as a background process few times a day" should read as a background process a few times a day.

Still clicking around the Pictures Antispy feature and went to Custom Scan ->Add Files. I select a folder with several .jpg files in it and choose one of the files in the dialogue and click 'Open'. The dialogue closes but the file I selected is not listed in the 'Files to process' field. The same happens with any folders I choose by clicking the Add Directories button and choosing a folder with jpegs in it. Maybe I'm assuming wrongly the files and folders I select for a custom scan are shown in the 'Files to process field' but I naturally assume they should show up there.

As an aside, if using the Add Directories button I choose a folder with no image files in it, I do get a warning in the message window that the selected files has no jpg or tiff files in it, so that part is working as-expected.

I haven't uploaded a backup.zip file this time as any files should be the same as my previously uploaded backup.zip

On initially modifying the settings in Configuration, it states that jv16 will be restarted when you click on OK after modifying the settings. It closes, but it does not restart.Backups.zip

Checking Task Manager, I found that, even though I has closed the jv16 GUI, the application was still running.

In the startup tool, I check the box to hide Windows system files but these still show up in the list. Shouldn't these files be hidden with that option checked? Checking and un-checking does hide one or two entries, but these are also what I'd call normal system files in the System32 folder.

Today I downloaded beta 4 and Registry information function keeps working with 8 threads. The abort function works.

I checked two times with same result.

Now it is 10 minutes that the icon spins and the green bar is at same point.

jv16 Beta 4 crashes when attempting to open it.

If you open jv16, go to Configuration>Maintenance>Flush Cache, it will flush the cache and then ask permission to close and then restart jv16 to run the initialization. On approval, jv16 will close and exit but does not restart.

I have used b4 registry cleaner in agressive mode and it does find just two items. using the latest ccleaner it finds quite a few - as shown in the attached registry.txt inside the .ZIP. Please advise.
