After installing PowerTools X on Windows 8.1 and running a number of the tools including "Clean and fix my computer", "Speed up my computer's startup", Registry Cleaner and File Cleaner my computer runs well except for one problem: I can no longer map network drives or browse my network for shared folders.

I have spent quite some time trying to resolve this with no luck. Does anyone have an idea what may have gone wrong and how I could fix it?

I have the same problem. I have backup on a Synology Server where a folder is mapped to a network drive. The folder is protected with a password. Could the password be the problem?

If your question is about cleaning the respective network drive, then please be aware that jv16 PowerTools does not currently support cleaning of mapped network drives. This may be lead to serious problems that will require more time to properly test and develop.
