Hi Richard,
First of all I would like to thank you very much for pointing out this potential problem on Windows 8.2, however, the way you describe it is quite critical and I see no direct reason why this would happen (a complete disappearance of our product's installation folder, once it has been successfully installed).
Please let me know if there is any anti-malware solution (anti-virus) product running on your PC and if it generated any alerts related to jv16 PowerTools X, in any way ? We have been experiencing some false alarms with certain commercial antivirus companies (and successfully notified them, fixed, approved) so I am wondering if there could still be some antivirus product that made such an error, once again ?
Last but not least, I would like to ensure you that our software is compatible with Windows 7, Windows 8 and the upcoming Windows 10, so there is no reason for you to worry while migrating to newer versions of your operating system since we will surely support it.
Looking forward to helping you out in finding the solution to your current problem.
Thank you!
