shortstop Everytime I run JV16 powertools "clean and fix" option...it finishes and tells me I need to restart my computer for changes to take affect. When I restart my computer it says "preparing computer for first time setup". It only does that after I run the clean and fix option and restart computer.....it never says that when I start computer for the first time every day. How do I make it stop saying "preparing computer for first time setup"
leonardo I think it is caused by the Registry Compactor. On the Clean & Fix my Computer menu switch off (uncheck) the option Registry Compactor!
shortstop Thanks for the info Leonardo, I turned off the Registry Compactor option and restarted my computer and didn't see "preparing computer for first time setup". Thanks for your help and so glad it was something that simple.
