Hi there,

When I search the registry with "Registry Finder" and want do delete any of the listed entries, PTX throws this message:

ptx_1.jpg

When I press "yes" (Ja) nothing's gonna be deleted:

ptx_2.jpg

Is this a bug or just my mistake?

Can this popup message be suppressed generally? In case there are 50 entries or more to delete it's pretty annoying to click 50 times on yes...

To be clear: the Registry Finder cannot delete keys in case it warns about them, but it can delete any other keys?

Don't know whether I understand your question.

As far as I can see, the finder warns on any key which I want to delete.

In my case it found around 50 hits in serveral "branches" (HKCU, HKLM, ...)

I marked most of them and klicked delete.

Thereafter many of those mentioned messages popped up one by one.

I did not count them all but it felt as it gave one for each selected registry key.

After I finnished clicking down those messages the finder reports that 0 keys had been deleted.

a month later

I confirm this behaviour. I ran Registry Finder with both antivirus and firewall switched off. I then selected all the found entries. JV16 then warned me about every selection and, ultimately, did not delete any. The description and screenshot given by the original poster are clear. I was surprised to find that all the entries could be easily deleted via regedit (I had expected that permissions were presenting the problems for JV16).

Hi again,

Surprised there has been no official answer - will try to post a bug report.

This feature fails on my 32 and 64-bit Windows 7 boxes. Once again, the keys deleted with no problem via Regedit.
