Hello

Can anyone please help me?

I've executed jv16 PowerTools X 4.0.0.1492. My PC looks faster after it, but there's a problem and I can't find what happened and how to solve it.

The problem is all Google ads disappeared. Since I have an AdSense account, it's very important to see the ads in my website. And they do not appear.

I've cheked that the ads are in the source-code but not on the browser window. I've checked other websites which I know have also AdSense ads and also I can't see them. They are in the source code but not on browser window.

It's exactly the same using Google Chrome, Internet Explorer or Firefox. They do not appear on any browser.

I've checked Javascript and it's enabled.

Any help?

Thank you very much.

What did you do exactly? Which tool of PowerTools executed?

Did you let the program make a backup?

In that case, have you tried to restore the backup?

Hi redseujac

Thank you for your reply.

No, I haven't restored any backup because there were no backups to restore. I'm not sure what I've done, as it was the first time I've used that tool. The options were left by default.

After I saw what happened I've uninstalled JV16 but still the problem exists. I can't see any ads, mine or of any other website, Google or any other's, using any browser, IE, FF or Chrome.

Is there any way to get ads back besides reinstall Windows? I hope there is...

In that case, I'm afraid I can't help you...

As redseujac said, it's fairly difficult to help you if even you yourself don't know what you did with the program. Also, if you are running the latest version of PowerTools X, there should always be backups listed in the Backup Manager, because when PowerTools is installed, many backups of critical Windows registry areas are automatically generated and they are listed in the Backups.

The jv16 PowerTools doesn't contain any ad blocking features so my best guess is that you have enabled the Immunize My Computer feature. To disable it, go to Backups > Tools > Backup Tools > Immunize My Computer > Undo immunization.

The point is ...

So he uninstalled the program and maybe the backups are gone also

If you have already uninstalled the software, you can simply open the Windows Hosts file with any text editor and manually remove the section created by jv16 PowerTools. The section is clearly marked and easy to remove.
