PT X 1487: 'Leftover software data scan' looping?

C&FMC has four scan settings:

• Safest (Case 1)
  

  Safe (Case 2)
  

  Less safe (Case 3)
  

  Aggressive (Case 4)

The 'Leftover software data scan' is present in Case 3, but not in Cases 2 or 4. I didn't look at Case 1.

Case 4 completed all its scans, then presented its list of possible errors.

Case 3 completed all its scans except for the 'Leftover software data scan'. That scan kept running and running, so I ended it via Abort.

After making the above observations, I restarted PT X in debug mode and ran only Case 3. The debug log is attached.

Note: My system is Windows 7 (X86) running with dual processors.

Later, I ran Case 3 again, but not in debug mode. After it ran for more than 2 hours, I aborted C&FMC and exited PT X. CPU usage dropped to less than 5%.

While Case 3 ran, CPU usage was as shown in the picture.
