Information about Registry Health

The "Registry Health" decreased after "Clean and fix my computer" from 93% to 64%. How is this possible? "Overall PC Health" after cleaning stands at 88%. I thought there is a calculation problem. Therefore I clean the "Flush cache". PowerTools X starts with caculation -> new results:

"Overall PC Health": 26%

"Registry Health": 1%

"Startup Sytem Health": 93%

"File Sytem Health": 100%

It seems really that there is a problem by the calculation of this values.

When you say the values decreased after "Clean and Fix My Computer", do you mean you performed the CFMC scan AND deleted/fixed all the errors it found, or did you only do the scan WITHOUT removing/fixing anything?

Also, if you re-scan your system with CFMC, does that update the values?

What can sometime happen is that the Initial Setup only provides an estimate of the system and registry health values, running the CFMC updates the values and should provide the real numbers. That is why the values can change and even go down after scanning the system with CFMC. However, if you clean the system with CFMC, the health values should always improve.

Correct, but I didn't clean anything. There are still some "empty folders" and 5 "useless file extensions". The healthy should be near 100% but it doesn't.

First, I've used "Flush Cached" after this jv16 makes a "Initial Setup". -> Look at bad results I've posted, a re-scan with CFMC brought better results, but worse before I've cleaned the system.

The different between "Initial Setup" and "CFMC" scan is to big. 1% to 63% "Registry Health". You can repeat this process and you see always this strange behavior.

So, if understood correctly, you ran the Clean and Fix My Computer's scan but didn't actually clean or fix any of the found errors and your question is, why does this decrease the Registry Health scores of the main window.

The answer is, that the Registry Health (and other health scores) detected by the Initial Setup are estimates and only running the Clean and Fix My Computer tool will update the health scores to the final values. The Initial Setup's values are estimates because we do not want to force the user to wait for too long for the Initial Setup to run, therefore it doesn't analyze all parts of your system, it only does a quick analysis.

My problem is, that I have cleaned and fixed some found errors, but not all errors. Who cleans all errors? And the result is worse as before.

Anyway, it seem that I have found the problem. I've hidden 400 extensions which are used by WinRAR (.r01, .r02, ... .r99; .z01, .z02 ... .z99). Severity 1%

I have thought that hidden elements would not be considered in the calculation of "Registry Health".
