Problem with email re discounted offer.

On 2nd June I received an email offering 70% discount on v16 Power Tools 2014 which I used to access the offer and completed the purchase using Paypal. The total came to $20.79 USD. I then received an email advising that my order No. 338308 had been received and Macecraft was waiting on payment of $69.90 USD My Paypal accout says that the payment of $20.79 has been made. I have not received any further emails with a registration number.

Similar bait and switch with me on 5 June 2014:

On the order page for Platinum VIP Personal use, the suggestion is that the cost would be $11.99. On the checkout page, I am asked to provide USD$ 20.97.

I am a long time user of VIP jv16, I am a little disheartened to see this sort of thing. I only hope it is a coding or currency conversion error. In the meantime I will not avail myself of the "offer" until they get their pricing correct.

You have a point, that is a good post. By now I am sure more persons are wondering about a swindle. It would not take more than a couple of minutes for a Macecraft employee to craft an email to all users allaying some of the problems. This has not been done in spite of the concerns expressed in our forum. So I do have to wonder if you are correct in your thinking redseujac. A great shame as I do like the software, humans spoil it - as usual.

Yes, you are correct Pegase64 . I apologize to Macecraft and to Forum users. I am happy to be wrong in my assumption. I really like the software. Now I understand it better. Maybe they could re-word that Order page though. And yes, it is a bargain.

After receiving another email asking if I wanted to complete my purchase and replying with details as above, I still had no response so I lodged a dispute with Paypal and immediately received my licence. so case closed.
