The bug is in the List Selection or Highlighted Item Selection function; not just in Uninstaller.
I am running build 1354 on a Dell Latitude 6520 with W7 build 7601. I've uninstalled PowerTools and reinstalled several times with no improvement in being able to accurately select and act on items in a list.
I had the same experience as the original poster of this thread. I also found that while the screen showed files checked and highlighted and this was verified in the status bar, clicking Uninstall produced an error, 'Please select at least one item'. This error occurred in several tools, not just Uninstall.
By highlighting an item and using or Select-Highlighted from the menu, the system recognized at least one selected file. This did not work for multiple highlighted items. The highlighting and check boxes were cleared when was pressed.
I successfully uninstalled one file by scrolling until it was the top file showing in the display window. Even though I did not select it, it was automatically selected when I pressed Uninstall.
Thanks for the clue. I'm trying to clean up the mess left when DeCrap hosed my system because of the same item list selection bug. I selected one item but after working through the screens (several options), the tool ran, deleting all of my Restore Points and removing multiple critical system softwares.
This item list bug does exist, apparently on some installs, and is causing much wasted time and money...
