Hello Leonardo,

I referred to JV16 PT 2014 Private Build 6's 'Registry Cleaner' function, not the 'Clean and Fix my Computer' one. In my experience the CFMC function does not identify as many 'errors' as the 'Registry Cleaner'.

Kind regards, lhughes

The Registry cleaner function within CFMC in general finds less items than the Registry cleaner tool itself.

Between 2012 and 2014 the Registry cleaner engine has changed "quite a bit".

Build 1344: The Software uninstaller took 30sec.

After all these countless test builds and private builds is there anybody available to care about the problem mentioned here:

http://www.macecraft.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=39&t=5408

This feature somewhere got lost in beta version 2013 and never came back since those days.

It's a feature which we really need!

[quote="jv16As discussed via Private Messages, this is strange. But I hope the problem still exists in this version:

It is the exact same version as the current official version, except this build generates the software2.log file when using the Software Uninstaller. Can you, and anyone else who is having problems with the list generation of the Software Uninstaller, give this version a try and send over the software.log and software2.log files? (This time, no profile files are generated).

Attached are my files from this version. The Software Uninstaller does not work for me.

I'm still having a big problem. The Software Uninstaller's green progress bar now completes fairly quickly, but then nothing else ever happens. The green bar just stays at 100% and the Abort button never goes away. As an experiment, I left it that way for several hours and it never changed.

As others have reported, closing PT at that point leaves PT still active in memory and Windows reports that it's still running and cannot be restarted. I have to kill it with Task Manager or reboot.

This is with build 1352 on W7 Home Premium 64 bit. Let me know if you need more information. Thanks.

Hi,

The software uninstaller has the same comportement on my computer : the progress bar completes and the list of installed software doesn't appear. I try to let the program running but it seems to never want to display this list.

And like the others users, the program stay in computer memory when I try to quit it after the software uninstaller has been aborded.

I have tested the software uninstaller on another computer (which is running Windows XP), and the problem occurs again.

In my situation, problems with software uninstaller has appeared with the 2013 version. (I didn't have the time to point it out.) This failure on the 2013 version seems to have different cause because the progress bar never completes.

For information, software uninstaller on the 2012 version (I still have it) can generate his list.

I have generated the software.log and software2.log using the 1352 beta version on my computer (they are enclosed inside the attached file of this post) which is running Windows Vista. I hope they can help to isolate and correct the problem.

Thanks.

After starting PT2014 and trying to use the software uninstaller feature, I find that I have the same problem as stated in the last post in this thread. I have version 3.2.0.1354 on Windows Home Prem. x64. Seeing as it is now Feb 2014 and the problem seems to still exist, is there any hope of getting this fixed?

It's nice that I get a rash of email about going open source, but what are you doing in the meantime to fix this code?

I'm running the installed software and leftover application and it is interminably long. Currently holding at 20 minutes with no results. Updated to 2014 version this morning and installed in new directory. Was going to use this to uninstall the 2012 version (and 2011, and 2010...) but I guess it can't find any software...not too happy about this upgrade.

21 days later

PT2014 does work extremely slow, I see over 8 pages on the forum, with out wading all the do's and don'ts is there a patch for W7 x64 that can speed the program up. I must admit that I haven't had to use jv16 since I found PriveZer which I think has the edge over JV.....which was such a program,

However I would like to use it again at a reasonable speed.

Regards

Tom

I posted about the never finishing software uninstaller problem in Feb. 2014. I just looked once again to see if there has been any progress in resolving this. And again there is no newer version than 3.2.0.1354.

Is this problem even being looked into by your developers?
