Consolidate old backups???

OK, dumb question of the day: For those of use who installed jv16PT to different folders over the years, i.e. I have a separate Program Files folder for 2011-2013 (and now 2014), can the backups that were made with each of the versions be brought together under 2014 and thus kept for possible use?

Or is it appropriate instead to simply toss those old backups with each new version? Or maybe archive (7zip) them somehow "just in case"?

What do the experts here say?

Well I guess this was a dumb question--no bites at all.

The install instructions say to not install over an old version so I presume that means that if one has a notion to restore any of jv16PT's backups one should retain the old versions to do so.

Or, more likely, if the computer is running fine then just throw the old stuff away and trust instead image backups (or however else one may back-up computers)...

This is actually a very valid question! But yes, you can simply copy the backup folders of any old PowerTools installation and paste them under the installation folder of the new PowerTools.

However, I think there should be a way to import old backups (and settings) from an old installation of the product... :
