Here is a new build of the RC4 for all of you to try out:

It contains all the fixes I have reported to have been done, and my final(?) attempt to fix the floppy disk drive access bug reported by Leonardo.

W7-x64-SP1 with jv16PT2014_RC4f

Login password:

Both my laptop and desktop have W7 login passwords.

After boot or hibernate W7 asks for that login password.

Now after boot, most of the time, W7 comes with the message 'Username or password is incorrect'.

I than just have to hit the enter key and type my login password.

Not a real problem but it is definitely a behaviour change compared to plain jv16PT2014_RC4.

I recognize the handbook is not final yet; however, the error in the picture occurs when I click on Handbook for the one that is currently downloaded via the jv16 installer.

This is still not fixed. When the Registry Cleaner requires a restart to remove a registry key, the restart occurs, the keys are removed. However, on doing so, jv16 sets the User Account Login password required option back to active. See the attached picture. In this case, I had run the Registry Cleaner from the main menu. Oh, I was under impression that this problem only affected the Registry Compactor, of which I fixed the issue. Can you please confirm that running the Registry Compactor doesn't cause this issue?

This should now be fixed, thank you for reporting! Re-installing the program with the handbook option will download the new handbook version.

This is now fixed from all the tools, not only from Registry Compact. The fix will be included to the next released build, thank you for reporting!

It should fix the Windows 7/8 login issue, Handbook problem and if I am lucky, also the floppy disk access issue.

Confirmed that the Handbook issue is not resolved on Windows 7 or Windows 8. I haven't checked the Windows 8 login issue yet.

Windows 7 x86 Pro, Windows 8 x64 Pro, jv16 RC4g

The uninstaller of RC4f did not save the settings of jv16. Before installing RC4g, I uninstalled jv16 RC4f. During the uninstall, I told it to keep the settings but delete everything else. I rebooted after the uninstall and then installed RC4g. All the settings had to be re-entered.
