I uninstalled v2.101.173 yesterday and installed v3.0.0.1267 on my XP machine. When I uninstalled v2, I left my settings intact and the new installation of v3 seemed to pick up all of my settings correctly.
However, when I tried to open System Tools/Sonftare Installer, it was EXTREMELY slow in loading, taking about 5 minutes to load the software list. Also, my existing Tags did not load. I take that back. A few tags loaded, but the vast majority did not.
FWIW, in v2, the Tags would also not always load on the first try. If the Tags did not load, I would simply close jv16 and re-open it. The Tags would always load correctly on the second opening of jv16.
When the Tags did not load in v3, I thought perhaps the same idiosyncracy still existed in v3. I closed jv16 and re-opened it. Again it took about 5 minutes for System Tools/Software Installer to load but the Tags were still no there. A third try yielded the same results so I gave up, uninstalled v3, and resinstalled v2.
The Software Installer WITH Tags is probably the most important feature of jv16 for me. I hope this problem gets resolved soon. I am a Platinum user.
