Well, it’s been over two weeks since I reported that attempting to install JV16 Power Tools 2013 on a Windows 2000 system produced the error message, “jv16pt_setup.exe is not a valid Win32 application.” This is a familiar message for Windows 2000 users; it means the software you’re trying to install isn’t compatible with that operating system.
What alarms in this instance is that Macecraft released the software claiming it does work with Windows 2000 – and yet apparently never even tried installing it on that operating system, much less conducted any testing. When, or if, they ever do restore compatibility, it’s going to be difficult to trust it not to wreck my OS, much less be worth the money I paid for it.
I wonder how much testing was done with Windows XP?
