I just downloaded jv16 PowerTools 2013 and ran the "Decrap My Computer" in automatic mode -- my bad for running in auto mode. This removed multiple essential programs that I would now like to restore, and the system asked me to set a restore point before it ran. How do I find that restore point, and how do I run it? Thanks!

Have a look in the Backup tool.

Select a backup and click on Restore.

My advice: it's always risky to run a tool in automatic or full automatic mode :

"... the system asked me to set a restore point before it ran. How do I find that restore point ..."

  • AFAIK, Windows, not Power Tools, manages restore points.

To find them on my W7 system, I do Start-->Control Panel-->Recovery-->...

"...and how do I run it?"

  • After the Recovery window comes up, follow the instructions. They are reasonably intuitive.

On my w7 system: ...Recovery-->Open System Restore-->Next-->Show more restore points (if necessary to find the one made through Power Tools)-->...
