It has always been like this. I suggested exactly the same around 2 years ago but still you can't enter your password then hit Enter.
For me it is a normal sequence of events to enter your password then hit Enter, however with jv16 power tools this results in the Enter key being recognised as another character in the password giving an Invalid password warning.
Not really a big deal just a minor annoyance.
