Some layout problems during jv16 PT translation

During the Dutch translation of jv16 PowerTools 2005 I encountered a nasty layout bug in one of the forms. This bug can be reproduced by entering a long string in combobox E_554 of the form 'FileFinderForm' (tab 'Search by date'). When I tested that form during translation, I discovered that this combobox (but also combobox E_479, which is located on the same tab) will be resized to double the size of the longest string present in that combobox. Because I need to enter a long string in that combobox, it's a bit annoying.

Is this 'bug' already reported, and if so: is there any workaround for this bug (except using a shorter string, which is impossible in this combobox)?

I think it is right the way i translated it.

But what do you think it should be?

But yea.. it indeed is a prob when you have a larger amount of text.

I Encounterd some other places as well. But i thought it whas better to translate it first, and then look for all the GUI errors, becouse it could be more.

Well, it's not that those strings were translated incorrectly, but I found out per accident that some comboboxes didn't respond correctly on longer strings. I do agree with your opinion to translate first the whole application, and then look out for any layout bugs, because I also think there are many more in the program.
