What is needed is a better way to find information on installed products. Some of the names are vague and google often returns little or no information. There should be a link to a better database which will help shed some light on what these entries are: ie what program they belong to, how safe are they to remove and whether or not the software associated with it is still installed.

The software manager needs to be more dynamic. When programs get uninstalled, they still show up in the software manager. I would like to see this improved upon.

I would also like to see a way clean out BHO entries that are no longer needed. Sometimes these leave things behind even after they are uninstalled.

I would also like to see some type of process explorer which would give more information on running processes.

@tlstevens: In beta2 of PowerTools 2006, there shows a message when you go to the add/remove tab.

It tells that you should use the Software Manager instead of the add/remove.

And only use the add/remove feature to cleanup entries that are uninstalled but are still in the software list of Windows.

I Used the software manager a few minutes ago, and it works very well.

I Like it very much that it has an uninstall feature now instead of just remove :).

Unfortunately I can't install the beta 2 because it keeps giving me an expired license popup. I have only the beta 1 right now. Was that feature available in the beta 1

This has changed since beta2, so beta1 just does an remove and no uninstall.

A feature that I haven't seen since the last freeware version was the estimated time listed when running the registry cleaner. I would also like to see the progress bars show what percentage of the task is done instead of just showing the progress bar.

I would like to see the error description when doing a custom fix of the registry cleaner.

The custom fix dialog to have a taskbar button

And lasty, for the custom fix dialog to say problem 3 or 49 or whatever. A progress counter of sorts.
