casimir wroteThank you. In fact it is possible to "temporary uninstall" the erroneous driver with either the W7 Control Panel or jv16PT-2012 -> 'Main menu' -> 'Fully remove Software and leftovers'. Then the correct driver returns spontaneously. But later, after a day or two, the erroneous driver comes back, probably due to Windows update, which feels that something is wrong. This is irritating.
My amateurish conclusion is that both drivers are placed very deep in the system.
If W7 finds a (new) device it tries to install the needed driver, either from your system (existing driver) or external.
Is your 'Windows Update' set to automatic?
Control Panel -> System and Security -> Windows Update -> click on 'Turn automatic updating on or off' -> select your options.
For example:

There is an other way to uninstall graphical drivers using the Device Manager, are you familiar with that?
Control panel -> Hardware and Sound -> on the top of the screen go to Device manager -> click on Display adapters ->
-> Right mouse click on your graphical card -> select Properties -> select Drivers.
Now you can Update, Roll back, Disable and Uninstall Drivers. But you must know what you are doing!!
