TBoyd wroteI decided to delete some old registry backups created by JV16 PT, which I have done before. I may have overlooked the file backups tab in the past & saw quite a few old ones. When I opted to delete some of them, I get the message from PT - "The selected backup contains both files and registry items. Deleting this backup removes all the data relating to it. Are you sure....?"
This data has already been removed by PT, so what is the danger? If the backup is several months old, wouldn't I have noticed by now that this data was needed?
The tool 'Clean and Fix my Computer' makes pared backup's from both the Registry items and File items.
The message: "The selected backup contains both files and registry items. Deleting this backup removes all the data relating to it",
warns that deleting a file backup will also delete the paired registry backup.
I think you can now safely remove these old backups.
