This is for all of you who are feeling angry when there are a lot of unfixed errors in the registry cleaner!

It an automatic process so there is no need to tweak the registry. Macecraft should contact the developers (for permission, see the irony!) and include this script with PowerTools. After applying the script all the errors will be cleaned!

The script will restore the permissions for Administrator and Users to full access. It's safe to use and verified by me. And you should restart the computer after the script has finished.

Well, Milan, thank you much for this potentially very useful 'tweak'. However, any advanced members care to comment on the safety of using it?

The script itself is safe to use. The script changes permissions one key at the time. It doesn't change users or groups it only adds permissions to it.

Besides if you don't believe me check the website or contact the developer. My experience with it is ok. No problems whatsoever. Only thing dangerous here is the Registry Cleaner if not used properly. Registry Cleaner is not a toy you can some serious damage if you don't know what you are doing. Windows can become so corrupted that it won't boot up. Those keys are protected for a reason. You aren't supposed to be there and mess with the keys. So it's save to say that some common sense is required. PowerTools backup changes so you are safe, but still you shouldn't fix or delete anything if you are unsure.

Bottom line is if you aren't an advanced user and don't know how to restore backups or don't know anything about windows registry, be smart and leave it be.

Advice for unexperienced users: don't mess with those key permissions. Just leave them alone.

The fact that some items that cannot be removed due to permissions is not a disaster for your registry.
