It seems some icons in the menus are not obeying this setting.

The following are some of the icons that continue to have click/fade effects, regardless of unchecking the option:

Home Page > Immunize

File Tools > Mass Rename Files/ Merge Fils/ Split Files/ Remove Files on Reboot/ Find and Replace Data Inside Files/ Wipe Files

Please fix this, thank you.

(There may be other icons throughout the program that I missed)

Is there someway to handle the column headings in a way more consistent with Windows? It's a bit awkward resizing the columns in jv16PT fashion (it's fine after they're set, but it's a bit of a pain getting it done, especially for each and every sub-program/window).

Also, are you planning to tend to the icons in the settings windows and other tools? They are quite ugly (i.e oversized, shadows are cut off, inconsistent quality), similar to the Main Program icons?

thanks again,

These issues were in the ToDo list of PowerTools 2012 but I'm afraid we weren't able to get these fixed as of yet. We are aware of these two issues and they will be fixed sooner or later.

Hey, thanks a lot for the fix and the response.

Unfortunately, after starting this thread I noticed some other little issues (only unfortunate because it would have been nice if I mentioned it before the latest program update).

There are misspellings in certain parts of the program, which I will probably tally up and toss into a new thread (unless I should leave it here) and adding the Registry Cleaner to my Jumplist would always open the Registry Compactor instead.

I tried adding the Compactor as well to see if they were switched, but it actually opened the correct tool - the Registry Compactor.

With the abundance of tools available in the program, there's a high chance that other Jumplist tasks are pointing to the wrong tool.

However, the most jarring problem I've had was trying to update to the latest version of the program, about 30 minutes ago.

The program would get stuck with an inability to access the uninstall.exe, telling me it was either pointing to the wrong path, unavailable, or I didn't have permission.

Looking in the Uninstall path for the program it was certainly there.

I first tried to reinstall the version I already had installed, which went fine, but upon trying to uninstall it manually, it would give me the same error.

Turns out, I had to wait about ten minutes for the "permission restriction" (or whatever you want to call it), to time out so that the newer version could install.

This is probably a Windows 7 64 bit problem, which is what I am using, as this operating system has been a "permissions" headache more than I've ever experienced in my life.

However, right clicking the "uninstall.exe", I did notice it wouldn't even allow me to view the permissions tab.

So, it seems like maybe that file is a little too secure? I don't know.

Also, I have UAC turned off and there is no firewall issue and my antivirus is not running.

Anyway, I finally got the new version installed, but it was a big pain.
