McAfee Internet Security does not let your program to run!

I have McAfee Internet Security 2011 on my system. I have installed jv16 PowerTools 2011 version 2.0.0.1009. I have to turn off McAfee Virus Scanner to have your program run.

I am not a McAfee user, but can't you specify 'jv16PT.exe' in a McAfee 'Exclude/Ignore List'?

In most cases AV products have an option to specify programs to be excluded/ignored during a (virus) scans.

Yes, I was able to exclude jv16PT.exe in McAfee and now it is working OK. I guess McAfee recognize jv16 PowerTools 2011 a threat. This need to be fixed.

Please determine which file in jv16 that McAfee is detecting as a false positive and submit it to McAfee via the link below.

How do you exclude JV16 from Mcafee so that it isn't detected as a threat? I am having the same problem. It takes forever to load JV16.

I know not my way around McAfee however I use Avast and assume the setup will be similar.

SELECT > Settings > Exclusions > Add > browse to CDrive > Programs folder > select JV16
