The initial start of jv PowerTools 2011 fails, after some minutes I get the attached message.

I already disabled my firewall, but that does not help.

I also get this same message, but NOT during initial start up (or any time thereafter in normal use). The message most often appears upon closing JV16. I do not think that it is related to any firewalls (or lack thereof). It appears to be part of JV16 shutdown code. Do you only get this msg on shutdown of JV16?

The message is put out by a third party "exception detector" included now in PowerTools. It also records details in a bugreport.txt file. This file will be in the folder where jv16PT.exe is installed. The file should be attached if you submit through the Bug Tracker system a bug report that involves this sort of message.

An "Application seems to be frozen" type incident may or may not be an issue. It could just be a too short time interval in the "exception detector" logic. When that is the case, chances are clicking "Continue the application" will allow PowerTools to complete whatever it was doing.

I`m also getting the same message and problem. Clean and Fix freezes (not responding). No problems running the registry cleaner though.

It happens at startup of jv16 at "Performing Initial Setup", if I click "Continue the application" it happens again after a few minutes and so on. It nevers ends "Performing Initial Setup", at least not within 1 hour.

I will open a bug report.
