Airborne

Even in XP-SP3 Dutch with v2.0.0.1007 English it is working without application errors!

However I noticed in W7 x86 and W7 64bit (all English) the following:

Check boxing any line, e.g. Windows Update,

click Optimize,

the check box of the optimized line is cleared,

but now the line "Windows Media Player Network Sharing Service" repeatedly becomes check boxed!

Could it be language related?

Hello!

Yes it is language related when i change the translation from swedish to english the bug disappeared!

Well, I think this is important information for jv16!

Can you make a Debug Log.html + Bugreport.txt from just your application error situation and attach it here?

I have no problems at all when running the Service Manager in my Dutch translation.

In fact the Service Manager "Optimize" feature works as follows.

You don't have to "check box" a line and then click the "Optimize" button.

The "Optimize" button should be clicked without any box checked. The tool then checks itself the boxes of the services that can be disabled safely. Then you have to browse the list carefully, make, if necessary, the changes you want, and finally click on "Disable".

Of course you can work manually and check the boxes of the services you want to disable and then click on "Disable", but the Optimize feature should be run as I explained above. The Handbook says: "The Optimize feature quickly analyzes your system and makes a suggestion what services could be disabled in order to improve the start up time of your computer".

According to user=airborne, in v2.0.0.1007 with the Swedish language selected the application occurs, not with English or Dutch selected.

Thank you for the "Optimize feature" update.

hello!

This seems to be an issue only affecting Jv16 2011 with Swedish translation! Changing translation to English makes

the bug disappear! ´

Probably there's an error in the Swedish translation file. If possible the translator should be contacted to check his translation. I think jv16 himself cannot do anything concerning this issue.
