Version 2.0.0.988 on x64 Windows 7
It takes way too long to populate the list of certain file tools (File Tool, for example). It seems to be refreshing the empty results window for every file, and perhaps even for every column of every file that will eventually show in the list. The empty window flashes white, then black, for many minutes.
To reproduce:
1. Using File Finder, the Size and Last modified columns have previously been set to always show.
2. Start File Tool and add a folder called "Targets", containing 483 text files and 6 subfolders, to the window using the File menu.
3. Watch the pointless window flash for over 10 minutes before you finally get a viewable list.
4. Even after the populated list shows, it periodically flashes for no reason.
5. According to the Task Manager, the program continues to run on at 30% plus of quad CPUs even when nothing is done with the list. It seems the only way to stop this is to close PowerTools. Just closing the tool does not stop the CPU usage.
6, The "Targets" folder is attached.
