Hello all,

I tried to clean the registry, it indicates the ones that are not needed, I attempt to "FIX" and it does eliminate all but a few and in the bottom box it gives error message (in red) that the program could not delete the items. They are all related to "Fusion.exe" however, a search of the drive does not indicate presence of the said file.

Running the RegEdit, I could delete the noted junk but, it just keeps on re-appearing.

I have run virus scan, spayware scan, and malware scan and there is no threats. Questions;

1- What limits the function of JV16 in this case that it cannot delete certain junks from the registry?

2- How to eliminate the junk and prevent it from appearing again if it serves no purpose in this case?

3- If the said junk is due to presence of a certain application, how to determine what the culprit is in order to eliminate it?

I have been unable to find any useful information about fusion.exe on the web and what information is available, refers to programs that do not exist on the system.

Thank you in advance.

Sometimes the permissions and/or ownership of some keys do not let PowerTools or even RegEdit delete those keys.

If you know the keys are safe to remove, and know what you are doing, here is a procedure that might do the job:

If the keys come back after a system start, you should use the PowerTools Startup Manager so you can check the startup tasks. One of them may be the culprit.
