In Registry manager > Shell extension/IE context menu/Open with menu it's possible to delete entries from the context menu.

It would be nice, if you could add (or replace the Delete function with) an Activate/Deactivate option.

As it is now, I'm using this little standalone utility from NirSoft to manage my context menus.

I second that. It would be a useful feature.

It should be ready before the end of the year. The beta testing will start with the Beta1 version hopefully today.

It's all down to the problem that I have the cold at the moment and that makes working a tad more difficult. The beta1 still needs only a few small finishing touches, then it's ready for the start of the public beta testing. We have done a few rounds of in-house testing already.

hiya. I've got a couple of feature requests & I'll add some specifics.

-- Have an option for Windows 7 and higher OS's to reset the the custom notification cache. link to what regedit I normally do

-- this one is a little more difficult but many apps that add firewall exception rules don't necessarily remove those rules after you uninstall the program. Didn't know if there was a way to comb the Vista & higher Windows firewall to remove application rules for application paths that are no longer valid. I don't know why Windows doesn't do this automatically or is not integrated into Windows Defender. I'm sure there are other things in Windows Defender that should clean up after itself too.

Good point. That's one reason I switched back to the PC Tools firewall after it was "resurrected" (I'd used something else, I forget which one, for a short while). While it doesn't automatically clean out rules for uninstalled apps (most commonly installers), it does at least flag them (if you untick that "hide uninstalled" option) so you can conveniently remove them manually. I think requiring all firewalls to include this feature in one form or another would be even more useful than having to use a third-party utility for this.

In certain "finder" tools (File, Directory, and Registry), I'd like to see a "Stop after finding n items" setting where the user can specify n. Searching is often an iterative process where one looks at what was found, changes the "search for" and "ignore" settings (for example), then rescans. A "stop after" setting would make this iterative process more efficient.

I would like to see a file verifier, so you could perform say a CRC check to two file sets to verify they copied correctly.
