IMO the way Macecraft handles this "News"-letter is not very awesome.

If I should not visit daily the forums or the website, I should have known just today that two weeks ago a new version of jv16 PowerTools had been released :

As to me I can not call this a Newsletter. "News" of two weeks ago isn't just "news" anymore.

Besides, in the meantime there could have been released already another newer version of the program.

There must be another and better way to send those Newsletters to the subscribers.

Maybe a new program version is not critical, but it doesn't make sense to announce the event two weeks later either :

Just to let you all know, I got my 2.0.0.970 update newsletter today also. I'm in Australia, but I don't think that makes any difference. I was, of course, already running this version 970 but I can indeed see how it may certainly confuse less tech savvy users. I should take this opportunity to say that the new version seems to be doing the job well on my machine. My only 'niggle' is that there is some quick 'flashing' on the screen when moving from the results screen back to the home screen. Seems harmless but a bit un-nerving at times.
