1. Which Windows OS are you using: W2000, XP, Vista, W7...

2. Which version of jv16PT-2010 are you using.

3. Which scan settings did you use for Registry Cleaner: e.g. Safest, Normal, more Aggressive, most Aggressive, ....

4. What kind and how many items does jv16PT-2009 find beyond jv16PT-2010, e.g. ActiveX, ....

5. Can you 'File' the Registry Cleaner Scan Reports of both jv16PT-2009 (1100 items) and jv16PT-2010 (150 items) in two files ('Save List as ...'),

.zip the two files and upload them here on this forum thread?

Windows 7 os pt2010 version 2.0.0.970 pt2009 version 1.9.1.606 Both scans most aggressive mode here are zip files of the two scans

Could you do the comparison with the default engine settings, not with the most aggressive mode?

Unfortunately i fixed errors after jv16 2009 scan

Here are current results after normal and aggressive scans zip files attatched

2009 normal 26 errors

2009 aggressive 144 errors

2010 normal 34 errors

2010 aggressive 47 errors

These numbers look correct. PowerTools 2010's Registry Cleaner contains a new ActiveX scanning module that is more accurate and less aggressive than with PowerTools 2009. That explains why PowerTools 2010 finds less.

Of course, it's very difficult to say for sure without more extensive analysis but this is my guess for the reason.

Also, please do not use the most aggressive mode. It's dangerous.
