XP-Pro-SP3 with jv16PT version 2.0.0.970:

Yesterday evening (24-08-2010, 23) I tested the Registry Compact function "without Reboot". Everything worked fine!

Today (25-08-2010, 08) I used the 'Maintenance Tool' to look for and remove old compactor backups.

4 files (time stamped 24-08-2010, 23) failed to be accessed and removed, probably because they are not 'old' enough.

I think that build 970 should be aware of that! Why does b970 select these 4 backups as "to be removed"?

EDITTED (thanks to Siliconman01):

This is not a problem but by design. A reboot is required to allow the removal of these 4 files!

These files are being locked by Windows and cannot be removed by jv16 Maintenance Tool until your system is rebooted. Even if you compact the registry using the reboot method, you have to reboot a second time before these files will become accessible for removal.
