In Windows 7, Start Menu items are stored in one of two folders:

1. Items for the current user are in C:\Users\<userid>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs

2. Items for all users are in C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs

During jv16 PT 2010 installation, if "Make shortcuts available to all users" is checked, then shortcuts are placed in both locations above, whereas they should be placed in location 2 only.

Which version of jv16PT 2010 are you using?

Leonardo: FYI, I am using version 2.0.0.970. I thought this detail unnecessary since the duplication of shortcuts is present in all versions of jv16 PT 2010.

For the record, I should add that in this case the duplicate shortcuts have no visible effects. When a user clicks on the Start orb, the contents of both folders are merged to make up the actual Start Menu. Since the jv16 PT shortcuts are identical in both locations, the merged item also looks like either of them. I posted the fact only as one more minor step towards an excellent product.
