How does one avoid listing MRU and History Data when running "Clean and fix my computer"? There are some items in this category which cannot be removed by PowerTools 2010. Thanks.

I guess you can't.

If you use Registry Tools then it's possible.

Registry Tools > Registry Cleaner > Panel History Data > uncheck the check box "List MRU and other history data"

Well, I suppose you will avoid most of these items if you'd add words: "MRU" and "History" under the Ignore Words tab of the Clean and fix my computer.

Agreed. That's a possible workaround.

Unfortunately, this does not work, probably because of the two level grouping in C&FMC. You have to go down a level. For example, Macromedia, Microsoft, and Sun ignore those subgroups. Also, "Never show again" works for the subgroups. I use that option for subgroups I don't want to be cleared.

49. Clean and fix my computer: MRU in the Ignore words tab does NOT prevent the MRU and history data group from appearing in the results.

This is now fixed, thank you for reporting!

But I repeat that all the posts from AJJMH are off topic (no relationship with the initial post of this thread) and should be moved to another section or new thread of this forum. This thread was and is about "MRU Data".

So please do not continue with answers and further questions about the initial off topic post of AJJMH. If the general rules about off topic posts are not observed, the whole forum risks to become a mess.

I agree and the issue reported by AJJMH can be discussed here: http://www.macecraft.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=26&t=4215
