Clean & Fix (2.0.0.966)

I know I have reported this issue before, but I just discovered new things about the problem.

Running 'Clean & Fix' makes application crash on one of my Win7 x64 installations (danish version of Win7 x64) - it always crashes, no exceptions.

I have several installations with Win7 x64 and on another installation I dont have this problem (an English version of Win7 x64 - running with a danish language-pack)

I just discovered, that a change from Danish to English makes a difference on the installation with the problem (the danish Win7 x64 - version). Changing the language to english here prevents the application in crashing, but the list I get do not look like the list I get from any of the the other installations.

Concerning point 2. did you try to deinstall jv16PT (keep settings + backups), reinstall in the same directory, while unchecking ALL languages except English.

3. On the PC with the English version of Win7 x64 and jv16PT-966 using the English language file, jv16PT does not crash when running 'Clean & Fix'.

And the resulting 'Clean & Fix' scan list looks OK?

My guess is that the error message is Access Violation, am I correct? If I am, we are at the moment hunting down the bug at: http://www.macecraft.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=26&t=4188

Well , the error message is "List index out of bounds(3)."

In that case, the issue might have already been fixed. I fixed a bug earlier today that can cause this error message. When we get the Access Violation fixed, a private test build will be made available to verify these fixes. I can let you know to check it out, if you have some time to do so.

In addition to my prior messages I just tried an installation of PT2010 2.0.0.966 on my sons PC (also running a danish Win7 x64) and on that installation PT2010 had no problems running 'Clean & Fix' with PT2010 in danish translation. And his list from C&M looks just as it is supposed to do.

I wonder what is going on in the PT2010??? PT2009 never gave me any troubles..

There is a bug or two in the custom list control that is now used in all the tools of PowerTools 2010. I got already one issue fixed ("List index out of bounds") but the main issue ("Access Violation") is still under work. I hope to get these finally fixed.
