Here are some remaining (minor) issues in PowerTools build 966.

I guess those issues existed already in previous builds, but I'm reporting them now.

1. Setup

Though I disable the Russian language, it shows nevertheless each time under Menu > Language.

I have nothing against the Russian language, but I wonder why it keeps showing up while it was disabled during setup. Many other languages are disabled also and don't show up in Language.

2. Resizing some windows (height) is not possible

It's not possible to resize the window (height) in some tools (e.g. Settings Tool and Mass File Renamer, maybe other ones also).

When grabbing the top or the bottom of the window with the mouse you can not move it upward or downward, while the width of the window can be resized.

3. Network features > automatically check for program updates

That feature does not work for me. Though it's enabled in the Settings, it never checks automatically for updates. I have to do this manually.

6 days later

Issue number 1 is now fixed.

We are still working on the other two issues.

About issue number 2: can anyone else confirm this problem?

If I try to resize the window of Settings, for example, it's possible to make the height of the window larger but it's not possible to make it smaller than a certain fixed number. Same applies to the width as well, and this is how it should work.

Yes, I can confirm that the TOP of the window and the BOTTOM of the window can only be moved to reduce the height in a 'limited way'.

But compared to jv16PT 2009 the resizing of the windows in jv16PT 2010 is still a bit different.

E.g The width of the windows in (almost) all tools can be '"display screen maximized'" and remembered after closing/starting jv16-2009 but in jv16-2010 the maximum screen width is not remembered. After closing/starting jv16-2010 the width is resized from the right side to a smaller default width.

This behavious is not display screen size or display resolution dependent, as I found out today on a new small w7 Professional x86 netbook.

I don't want it to reduce the window to very small, but still quite some smaller in height. Now in some windows there's too much place between the last useful text and the buttons. Look at the examples below.

This is because with other tabs active the window needs more space. For example, the Advanced Interface tab of the Settings and the Add Counter tab of the Mass File Renamer require a lot more space.

I understand. I already thought that was the reason why... :
