If there exist translations of the Handbook, it should be possible for the user, during setup, to choose the Handbook in the language of his preference, for downloading.

Only precede the available Handbook translations by check boxes and the user can tick what he wants to be downloaded, just as he can do now for the program translations.

What does the programmer think about that?

Sounds like a very good idea, perhaps it could start with the Danish version.

But first of all the English Handbook must be completely examined on errors and corrected!

I am busy doing the Dutch translation and I am halfway now.

Unfortunately I noticed already (just halfway!) many errors in the English Handbook.

It contains even comment on features or options which don't exist anymore in the version 2010 or the comment doesn't match the actual situation.

Furthermore several sentences are rather incomprehensible because they simply don't finish properly or are mixed with parts of others.

Finally quite a lot of images are hardly readable, or are taken from the betatesting (still containing read or green blocks before the button texts, indicating the button has been used or not).

I know the Handbook says: "The product version used for writing this book is a pre-release version using the Advanced Mode. Your

particular interface and the names of the features may differ slightly."

But in my opinion that never can/may be a justification for the actual condition of this Handbook.

It is an accurate job to be done by the staff. Each sentence must be read again and if necessary corrected and always the content must be compared with the atcual status of the program itself. Many new screen shots must be made and the resulting images in the handbook should be large enough the way they are readable.

One thing is certain, the Handbook can't be left in its actual status.

I realise the 2010 version of JV Powertools is "hot of production line", but I'm sorry to say I can't find the English HELP Handbook. If someone would be so kind to advise if available yet, and how to incorporate "it" into the HELP button of the programme would be much appreciated.

Thankyou :)

During installation of jv16PT 2010, did you check-boxed the jv16PT handbook option and by doing this downloaded + installed the jv16PT handbook?

You can always uninstall (keep backups + settings) and reinstall jv16PT 2010 with the handbook!

You can also view it online at this page: http://www.macecraft.com/support/docs/

In addition, with a right click on the handbook link there, your browser likely will have some option to download the file. For example, in Firefox, it's "Save link as ...".

Warning: read this post.

The handbook contains quite a lot of errors, so be careful.

Some comments don't match the actual status of some program features (e.g. Registry Cleaner).

When I have finished my Dutch translation I will post all the most obvious errors and anomalies I have found the way the staff of Macecraft Software can correct them.

That would be nice 8)

I have already made a new set of screenshots for the danish version, and corrected some errors, but a complete list will be highly appreciated.

Thankyou tullik for the Handbook.pdf download link, i've downloaded it.

I actually didn't as I had read it was either unfinished, or contained errors.

Very soon after installing I was notified of a bugfix version 2.0.0.963 which I did check the box/option for the handbook, but it was not installed. I did however download a handbook from Macecraft Software at that time .

I've only just seen an Email advising of an updated version: jv16 PowerTools 2.0.0.964, so I will try installing with Handbook option checked. ( If unsuccessful will reinstall completely RE: "You can always uninstall (keep backups + settings) and reinstall jv16PT 2010 with the handbook!" )

Thanks for your info and prompt support :)
