This applies to Windows 7 x86 Professional and the new Build 963.

The installer hangs with irsetup.exe and jv16pt_setup_hb.exe stuck in memory. This does not occur on Windows 7 x64 Professional. The build does install; however, the installer appears to hang when trying to start jv16 the first time. If I kill irsetup.exe and manually start jv16, it starts and builds cache okay.

Lovely, sounds like another bug with the installer system. We changed the installer system for PowerTools 2010 to add many requested features, but this seems to have come with a price.

And I'm afraid there is nothing we can do about this, all we can do is to report these to the company that develops the installer system and hope they fix the problem(s).

This problem also happens on my Win 7 x64 system.

irsetup (indigo) used to cause issues with AV's

We havn't got a repeat here have we?

Actually I don't have those problems with my Windows 7 x64 OS :)

Yes, my problem is with irsetup. The installer freezes when irsetup runs and fails to complete.

NIS 2010

What happens when you disable NIS?

You can usefully read this post: http://www.macecraft.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=26&t=4151#p24941

If it is an FP then JV would have to notify Indigo Rose to pass on to the AV's?

No problems installing on Windows 7 x64 although I did get a 30 second pause of the progress bar at around 75% through the installation. Everything then continued as normal.

I'm running NOD32 AV.

This is not a FP but a complete failure to finish an install. A FP would trigger an NIS alert.

@soundmix

FP is not the correct term, but as jmcc posted - he shut down NIS 2010 and PT installed ok

Eset seemed to cause a 30sec wait

So what can we call it - I dunno'
