Escapist wroteredseujac, thanks. Restoring register did work as suggested in the MS knowledge base. Not that I would ever use PT again.
I am sorry for what happened to you, but I am using Registry Cleaning products from what is now called Macecraft for 15-20 years.
During these years I tried many times to find the border line between 'Safe' operation and 'Dangerous' operation -> resulting in unable to boot.
With jv16PT in "Safe mode" or "Normal mode" I never reached a point being unable to boot/startup. And if you can boot/startup you can restore the taken backup.
I once played around with the File Cleaner "list/delete Unused Fonts". The list showed a few fonts that apparently were mandatory to boot. It was still my choice to delete those fonts (with backup) but like your unfortunate case, it was not possible to boot and so could not restore my backup.
In the end I had to recover my Win-XP OS. This was the "one and only time" in all those years that I severely crippled my system.
So I wonder what you did with jv16PT 2009, I guess a list of the found errors (of course without fixing the errors!) would be very interesting for the developer.
Why did you try the 2009 version and not the 2010 version?
