Platinum license?

If I try use my Platinum license, it says "The license file "license.xbin" only contains VIP rights (for example better technical support), it does not give you the license to use this product!"

http://www.macecraft.com/buy-now/ says "Buy the Platinum VIP once, and you can use jv16 PowerTools for life".

Which is it?

This seems to be a bug in the program. I'll investigate and report back to this thread.

Mine worked in version 2009, but not in version 2010.

After upgrading to 2010, I received the same message: The license file ... only contains VIP rights (for example better technical support), it does not give you the license to use this product!

Maybe it has to do with the OS. It works fine on my wifes 32 bit XP but not on my 64bit Win 7.

Strange, because my Platinum License is working fine and not showing the error the others are seeing.

It is working in my W7 x64 Pro.

I believe I solved this; I have two licenses, one standard and the Platinum.

When I installed Power Tools, it automatically found and used the standard license.

I merely copied my Platinum license into the jv16 Power Tools 2010 folder, replacing the standard license file.

The License Tool now says "You are using the program as a Platinum VIP user!"

Hopefully this will work for others.
