How can one get Jv16 PowerTools 2009 to actually fix the errors it finds?

When I run the Registry Cleaner 2937 errors.

Then, I select "Fix."

Nothing happens. I am asked if I want to back up the items and I answer no. Then, nothing happens. Nothing is fixed. WHY?

If I run the Registry Cleaner again it finds 2937 errors.

Do I have to buy an update or something?

I'm afraid this is a bug in the PowerTools 2009, you can switch to PowerTools 2010 that is available from: http://www.macecraft.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=4079&start=0

The final version of PowerTools 2010 will be also released within a week, if you wish to wait for that.

I came to the forum today after experiencing a similar problem. Though I did not encounter this problem with my WinXP Pro desktop, I ran JV PowerTools registry cleaner for the first time yesterday on my netbook, which runs Windows 7 Starter. In my case, the registry cleaner fixed a small number of the errors I had told it to Fix and then disappeared. When I tried it again, it simply disappeared without fixing any. I think I'll do a system restore rather than ask that the removed registry items be put back. My question is simply what the difference is between the version of JVPT available now and the "final version" that will be available within the week?

Many thanks for making 2010 a free download for those of us who have registered copies of 2009.

The final version is allready out since yesterday - download from http://www.macecraft.com.

I think there are no big differences between the latest RC 1 and the final version.
