After using the registry cleaner the first time after installing the program (2009) the tool wants a new start. After this the wallpaper appears but a message box too with the error code above. Who can help now - I really don't want to reinstall my windows system. Is it a bug or can I fix it myself?

You can restore the backup and that should fix the problem.

Open PowerTools, open the Backup tool, select the backup in question and click Restore. A restart might be needed to solve the issue.

Could you also tell me what exactly did you do with the program? Did you use any other features than the Registry Cleaner? And with what settings did you use the Registry Cleaner?
